I'm an 07 bride at East Wind too! I just signed with them about 2 weeks ago. Our date is June 1, 2007. We are getting married in the Southampton ballroom. We liked the estate but we liked the entrance and feel of the grand ballroom better. We are also going to the showcase tomorrow. We are looking foward to it! It's all so exciting for us!

Have any of you East Wind girls who are having the ceremony at (or close to) the hall started looking at places to have your rehersal dinner? Does anyone know of any good restaurants out there? I don't want to have it at Desmond's (b/c the food will be similar to that of the wedding), and I really didn't like the dining room at the Best Western. Any suggestions of places in or near Wading River to have my rehersal dinner?

Re: East Wind Brides
I was at the showcase the other night, and looked into the RD at East Wind since we are also getting married there. Desmonds is nice for 30 people or smaller, but anything over that, they really can't accomodate in the 'space' they give you. We have a huge BP, so we need more room. They mentioned booking a sep room downstairs, but I guess that comes with...you guessed it, another fee! ***!? I need to talk to Shannon and see if they can do anything for us.

Another question...have any of you gone to Eastwind for Brunch on sunday? If so, how many people were there?
I didn't even know about brunch when I booked, and now I am worried that there will be a ton of people in the lobby (I am in the southampton).... aaahhh the details i think about....
