East Wind Brides

East Wind Brides who've either gotten married there or have already been to a food tasting: how is the food???? We're going to see East Wind this weekend. FBIL's girlfriend emailed me this from her friend regarding East Wind:

'East Wind, horrible food: people have recently had food sickness from this place. Don’t go there. I could have cooked better for 100 people on my own.'

Please share your East Wind food experiences!

TIA!!

I've heard nothing but positive things about the food there! Everyone I know who has gone to weddings there have RAVED about the food. I went to a bridal expo there and thought the food was delicious.

PS I'm getting married there, too.

I'm so glad to hear that you've heard good things!! I was getting really scared there! I asked FBIL's girlfriend to find out if her friend personally had a bad experience of if there was something written about it somewhere (because she seems pretty insistent about it). In a subsequent email, the friend told FBIL's girlfriend to 'beg me not to go see East Wind'!!

that's great! i'm going to look at the Country gardens on Sunday and I'm really excited about it!

As a sidenote, here is yet another email from FBIL's girlfriend's friend.... maybe I'm reading too much into this but...........

'I was just ate a wedding there in November and my friend is a florist that does the arrangements for weddings. She gets the scoop on all the sites. The people that deliver flowers walk through the kitchen and see what a mess it is. Cakes are not fresh. Ours was served still frozen. The dressing for the Caesar salad was straight mayo. During cocktail hour they told me they were serving me chicken franchese and it was veal. I have never tried veal in my life and would never have had it. If she goes there, just tell her to be cautious. That’s all. I don’t want to scare her but she has a right to know.'

But nowhere in there did she mention anyone getting sick. Maybe this is just one person's opinion that I need to take very lightly.

this is good news! thanks so much! one bad review isn't going to ruin the whole thing for me! especially when i don't know even know the person!

I went to a Christmas party there in 2005 and the food was good from what I can remember. The place was beautiful too. I did not look into having my wedding there because I felt it was too far for me. But I think the place was great!

it's nice to hear so many good things about east wind. don't let one bad review get you down. i'm sure each place has at least one bad review!

Re: East Wind Brides

Im an East Wind bride and I have been to many of their bridal shows. Eash and every time the food has been great! And even when I was booking other vendors, when they heard it was at East Wind they always had the best things to say about it. And why would the say that if it wasn't true? They wouldn't be getting anything from it.

I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever heard a negative thing about East Wind. I think if you go there you will be very happy. Good luck!

Re: East Wind Brides

I wouldnt worry go for yourself and youll see if you like it or not dont let one persons opinion deter you and the thing abuot the cake the cake isnt from the east wind its made at the rolling pin bakery so if its not fresh its not because of the east winds doing but i highly doubt its bad

Went to a sweet 16 there and food was good. Have another one in March. I went there to check out the place. Long story short, they drove us in the cart to the country garden to see it and left us to walk back to the main building in the rain. We decided against using them because of it.

I'm getting married there. I've been to a wedding there and it was amazing. I've also been to a few bridal showcases and the food was great.
