Hi - Has anyone been to the East Wind, Country Gardens lately? I just called to set up my menu appt, and they told me they redid the reception room. Like, totally changed it, took down the wallpaper put in a picture window, redid the carpet and floors, etc. I will see it over the weekend, but wanted to know if anyone else has seen it since they changed it?
I'm trying not to be worried!

oh okay, I didn't hear that, but I never did really look at the Country Gardens because it couldn't hold the number of people I was planning on having.

I was there last night. I definitely noticed the smell of paint, (but didn't take note of the wallpaper - or lack thereof????), the new bride & groom chairs, and now that you mention it - the picture window. They did such a good job that it didn't dawn on me that the picture window was new until I read this post.

OMG!!! I'm going to go this weekend and see it since this is where my reception is booked!!! If I hate it, I'll get sick. I swear.

I saw it 2 weeks ago. I did not see new carpet. It's beautiful though. The new wallpaper really opens up the room and it looks real classy IMO. Especially since they got the new chairs, the old wallpaper made the room way too busy. Now it's gorgeous. I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

My FMIL said she thought she might have heard that the East Wind has stopped walking guests to the tables after the CH. Has anyone else heard this? Does this mean I have to do place cards afterall?
