Hello everyone! I'm looking for feedback on The Inn at East Wind...saw it yesterday and thought it was really nice. Any information will be appreciate, both positive and negative. My only concern was that the other party (they have the North and South sides) might hear your music?? Please give me any feedback you might have. Thank you soo much!!

Re: East Wind question
I am getting married at the Estate at Eastwind. I know the food is outragous at Eastwind. I don't know much about the Inn except that I the two brides will never see each other they are on seprate parts of the building. You can call them and ask them they are extremely helpful. If you need the number let me know. If you don't feel like calling I will do it for you. I dealt with Mike and Maria both were great!!! Good Luck!!

Re: East Wind question
I am an East Wind Bride and you can not hear the music from the other room, because the walls are sound proof with a barrier in the middle. I love the East Wind and they are so organized and attentive. My wedding is not untill 2 years away and every month or so the banquet manager calls me to see how my wedding planning is going. They really just want to make you happy and that is all that matter to them.

Re: East Wind question
At the Inn the minimum for a Friday night is 175, which makes me alittle nervous. Ok I'm happy to hear about the noise thing not being an issue. I am aslo looking for 2 years in July. It is definitley a beautiful place and a high contender on my list!

Re: East Wind question
You should look into a Saturday afternoon. I hear they are having trouble booking Saturday afternoons. I booked mine for a Saturday afternoon in November and they were willing to take off $15 a person because of that. And my minimum I think is 140 or 160 I am not that sure.

You got a good deal!! that was one of th ethings that impressed me they were willing to work with me. They understood that we were both in college and paying for this ourselves.

Re: East Wind question
went to a wedding there in june (the estate), the grounds are great, the place is really nice. my only problem with the place was the cocktail hour. the room was big enough but there was only one bar and not enough food stations (there were long lines for everything) If i was booking with them i would have them put another bar in the room that doesnt have one, and make sure whatever they give you for cocktail hour is doubled (the same thing at 2 stations) basically have the same food in both rooms, not pasta and meat in one and chafing dishes in the other. at the wedding i went to they only had 2 stations per room. other than that the dinner was great.

Re: East Wind question
I am also an East Wind Bride. The Inn- Northampton Room. I love it there. And no, you cannot hear the music from the other room. One of the things that i really like at the Inn was that there were separate entrances for each wedding. I wasn't thrilled about more than one wedding going on at a time. But this made me feel better that my guests would go through a different entrance and they don't have to share bathrooms. So you'll never have to worry about other people being in your wedding.
Good luck!

Re: East Wind question
We made an appt. to go back to the Inn and ask a few more questions and they are holding a date for us in 2005...so I think this might be the place! We have alot of out of towners so the hotel will be extremely convenient. I will keep everyone posted!

Re: East Wind question
I am an EastWind Bride!! The Country Gardens on October 17, 2004!! I looove it there...and the weddigs I ahve been to at THE ESTATE the COcktail hour was HUGE.....No need for extra food AT ALL...
But be careful with your out of towners...I have a lot too, since FH is from NJ....but even with a discount, Eastwind wanted $223 A NIGHT to stay there..and we had to guarantee a certain number of rooms,a nd pay 50 perent of that NOW/..and get reimbersed later...YEAHHHHHHHHH RIGHT we told them!! YIKES!! Hampton Inn is not that far and if you get a certain amount of people, you can get a free shuttle.....

Re: East Wind question
My friend told me she was there for a wedding and was worried when she saw everyone arriving at the building at the same time since there was a wedding at each side. But turns out they had their own entrance so it all worked out well and didn't even know once they were inside there was anything going on on the other side. They went to the bar afterwards and continued the party..... hee hee hee

Re: East Wind question
I am an East Wind Estate bride. I juust got married less than 2 weeks ago. The day of my wedding - it was beautiful weather. However, I had a night wedding. We weren't aloud on the Estate grounds until 5:30, because there was a day wedding. I wanted to take pictures proir to the cocktail hour. They let us take pictures on the East side of the Inn. I didn't hear a thing or see the 2 other weddings.
