East Wind Showcase?

I went to tonight w/ Conig25 (thanks mama), and was accused of being a Bridezilla - ouch. Anyway, I hate the new chairs and the room is so green. FH is getting mad (& insulted) b/c I keep complaining about the decor of the room. I tried to negotiate with the Inn 'keeper' and she wouldn't budge on rates, deposits, blocks, etc. Then I went to talk to the restaurant Mgr about a RD, and that was disappointing.

However, when I sat at my dais (sp ?) and looked out over the big empty green ballroom, everything seemed to disappear. Ahhh...

Thanks for the vent, just wondering if any of you lovelies were there. LIW was giving away canvas totes, so Conigs and I were trying to spot out our fellow members. We missed out on the tote, so here's one more post until the T shirt arrives!!

Yes blame me for calling Kris a bridezilla. Its all my fault The MOST important thng is that you are marrying JO. Who cares about green walls, ugly chairs and bad sales people. All of that will disappear when you see him in his tux and kissing you all night and telling you how beautiful you look and how lucky he is to be marrying you (bc he is you know??)

The place is GREAT and the day will be GREAT!! Stop worrying and ENJOY!!!!!

the green is what i fell in love with, the chairs are just ok, but the new carpets are much nicer imo...

i in no way mean to be rude, but didnt you notice the green walls and green decor when you went to look there, the walls and most of the decor did not change ...

i hope you begin to fall in love with it like i have... and if you dont, that day ignore it, you will be so excited it wont matter

I did notice all the green, and unfortunately, I never loved the room. I loved the location, the lay out, the reputation, and compared to the other places I did see, this one stood out. I prob sound like a picky bridezilla B1tch, but truth is, I'm just really indecisive.

Anyway, thanks again Conigs for coming with (and for the nice comments above).

I know when the day arrives, I'll be the happiest woman in the world!

i like the actual chair- but i am not thrilled with design on the seat... its not that important to me though..

i am glad you love most of what east wind/estate has to offer- maybe theres a way you can switch the room if there are openings???? i dont think you are being a bridzilla at all by the way, i was just wondering why you chose the place if you disliked the room so much, but i totally understand what you love about it, and i hope it all works out for you in some way!

I was there....I am getting married in the Inn and I took my parents, my sis, the FIL's and the FSIL and everyone loved it!!! They loved the elegance, the food, everything!!!

They are all extremely happy with our pick and so am I!!!!
