So not a lot of people know about the Veranda Room at east wind but thats the room I have booked...i wanted to know where they do the cocktail hour??? I keep tring to call my consultant Barbara but shes never in during the week, no one else will answer my questions, and the email address they gave me for her doesnt work my weddings in 5 months and i feel like i have no idea whats going on this stress is killing me!! im also worried about the cake from Rolling pin Bakery, ive seen a lot of bad reviews is it even worth it????? Please HELPPPP

I've been to a wedding there.. the CH is held in the upstairs of the lobby at the top of the grand staircase

When I did a tour of East Wind they showed me the Veranda Room. The room was lovely and the hotel is gorgeous but when I asked where the cocktail hour would be held, I was completley turned off and ultimately went with another place. They have it right outside the room, overlooking the lobby of the hotel. It's a small area and with 125-150 people attending my wedding, I felt as though no one could possibly fit comfortably there without spilling out all over the hotel. I dealt with Penny and she was wonderful. She answered every question I had and was willing to work with me on everything. Perhaps you should try calling her?
The venue that I ultimately ended up choosing also uses Rolling Pin Bakery. I've tried several different kinds of their cakes and they all were delicious!

OMG!!?? thats horrible... theyre just gonna set up stations and tables in the hallway?! ***..with strange people walkin around! UGHHH, maybe if i ***** enough i can have her do it downstairs, id rather it be in that area then right by the stairs Thank you ladies

If I remember correctly, I think it was a marble cake with cannoli cream. It was delicious though.

I just sent you FM then I saw you got your answer. They told me that the CH would be all around so its like an indoor/outdoor balcony. I actually loved the location! I guess to each his own:)

yea at first i thought it was on the floor where the other rooms are and i didnt want it there bc the hotel rooms were there but then he showed me its the top floor and theres nothing else really up there and he told me i could have the doors to the outdoor balcony open and have it there too and that was it for me, made me feel a lot better
