EastWind Brides! I need your help!!!

Hello - For my fellow EastWind brides, both past and future, were you given an option of a time for the reception to start? Meaning, were you told it HAD to be at a certain time, say 11:30AM on a Sunday, or were you given the option of 11:30AM, 12PM or 12:30PM?

I'm asking because I just found out they do weddings on Saturdays at 12:30PM but the start time for Sunday I was given is 11:30AM. Even when I asked about a later start (12PM even!), I was told no. I'm trying to figure out what the story is before I get even more upset. Not that it really matters as my invitations are already mailed, etc.

Why am I getting so upset about this?

ETA: I'm referring to the start time for the ceremony if you are getting/have gotten married at EastWind.

What I was told for a day wedding was that it depends on whether or not an evening wedding had already been booked for the same day. I wanted Sunday twilight, but someone had already booked a day wedding for my day (so I took the evening). As a result I was given a start time and it could not be earlier (although it could be later).

ETA: Your invites are already out, why on earth do you care about this NOW??? Don't you have enough other things to worry about without adding something so insignificant to the mix??

See that's the thing though! When we booked, we were the first people to book for that date so we should have had first preference. I know I shouldn't be getting upset about this and I have no idea why I am. I'm was literally in tears! What the heck is wrong with me?

You are getting close to your day and starting to have emotional breakdowns for no rational reason whatsoever. Janna promises that it goes away!!!

I don't mean to hijack your thread since I wasn't an EW bride, but Janna's right!!!!!

Breathe ladies, you're almost there!!!!!!!

Thanks Ladies!!! I'm not used to overreacting to stuff that usually wouldn't bother me. Then again, I've never been married so I've never been through ANY of this!

I was able to change my time of the cocktail hour without a problem. I think the difference is I made it later and not earlier. There is likely a wedding right after yours therefore you cannot push it up. Try to find out if there is, if not, I do not see what the problem is.
