Take a baking dish/bowl and smooth cream cheese over the botton (maybe an inch thick?) Then dump a can of Hormel Chili w/o beans over and top with shredded cheese (I like the pre-packaged mexican cheese pak) but you can just grate cheddar, monterey jack etc...
Bake at 350 until the cheese is bubbling and baking.....
Take out and serve with tortilla chips....

I do it this way & I always get rave reviews on it:
Take a flat glass bowl or any flat type baking bowl.
spead cream cheese on the bottom layer
2nd layer add salsa
3rd layer add taco cheese (from the package)
stick in the microwave for 2 minutes
Wella! done!
you can use a 'bowl' like these (2 bottom ones)

We always made it in a glass pie pan - not too deep. Microwave does work really good for it too!

there are so many different ways to make nacho dip.... I spread the cream cheese out spread the refried beans add the salsa fry up some taco meat (with the seasoning and all...you know the packets) then pour the meat on top of the beans shredded cheese and scallions
cook for approximately 30-35 minutes...the last fifteen minutes should be uncovered...

There seem to be so many versions of this dip.
I make mine by mixing:
3 oz. cream cheese 1 jar salsa 1 can refried beans 1 cup cheddar cheese.
I bake in oven til cheeses are melted.
It is so yummy!
