Re: Easy Poll: Do commercials make you go and buy stuff
We have TiVo so I hardly get to watch commericals. DH just skips them.
Commericals on TV or radio never enticed me, but magazine ads sometimes do.

Here's one: That new Gap commercial with whatever her name is with the deep voice, shaking her white jeaned a@@, does NOT want to make me shop at the Gap! Same goes for those retarded Old Navy commercials.

Or, those stupid Axe cologne commercials. Why would I want DH to wear some cheap-a@@ crap that supposedly will make him smell so good that my mother will smell him and her blouse buttons will come flying off
Uh oh, I think I'm guilty of thread hijacking!

I'm embarrassed so say it, but ever since Sarah Jessica Parker started advertising for the Gap, I've bought clothes there. I really do think its the fact that someone from Sex and the City is wearing the clothes. I didn't shop there before!

PS: The Chase commercial makes me wanna barf ... Although the other one with the girl & the MTM song is more annoying and it's on every five seconds

Re: Easy Poll: Do commercials make you go and buy stuff
Depends... commercials usually only make me want to buy something if it's a NEW product that I've never tried. Like, a new clever commercial for Coke doesn't make me want to go out and buy Coke if I don't normally buy it anyway.
