If I am looking at something I want and the auction is not up for 6 days, why would I bid now?
Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until the last minute?
Why doesn't everybody wait?

Re: Ebay question
because some people cant sit and look at the computer 100000 times a day or they are just bidding and PRAYING that no one bids after them.
I bid on something I could care less about getting but if its something I want I sit and refresh my screen till Im sure I won.

Re: Ebay question
If there's something that I Really want, I use the last minute bidding method b/c - 1) I do not want to drive the price up and make people outbid me and 2) I do not want to get caught up in a last minute bidding frenzy and pay more than I want! I'll actually wait until 10 seconds or so before the auction ends to place my bid (with my heart pounding, usually ) - the only drawback to waiting this long, is that you can get locked out and not get to place your bid at all.

Re: Ebay question
Usually, what I do, is I put in my maximum bid of what I would want to pay...and then ebay bids for you if someone else bids until they get to your max. If that happens...then I either decide to raise my max or forget it...I will find something else. This way, I don't have to watch it all the time...

Re: Ebay question
I would just watch the auction for now....On the auction page there is a item you can click that says 'watch item'...Click that and you can go back and watch that item from your ebay page.....I would bid your maximum bid 10 seconds before the Auction ends...but I would make a fist bid 20 minutes before it ends so you know you have bidded on it in case no one else bids.
If you are going to bid the last 10 seconds, open up 2 pages....to the same auction. Have one open to the Auction page...Have one open to after you put your bid in...you will come up to a page that asks for your password or asks if you are sure you want to bid this much....keep refreshing the first page....and as soon as 10 seconds left comes around...go back to the bidding page and click ok....Hopefully you will win. It is easier than it sounds. It wa very hard to explain this on here.
