EBAY Question

I'm so upset-I found the disposable cameras I wanted on EBAY & I found that the company selling them are located in Jericho so I emailed the guy to see if i could get them in person and save on the shipping and the guys said yes---so great! then i get an email from EBAY saying it's been terminated and cancelled because of some VERO program and copyright infringment?? anyone ever experience this?

ebay is funny with policies & authenticity of items etc.

Dont you have his email addy from when you asked him if you can pick them up? Maybe you can strike a deal with him separately. I'm sure he'd be glad to do biz but I'd check out what the termination was about to begin with, just for your own info. But it sounds like it has nothing to do with the product quality so maybe you can still make a deal.

that happened to me, I bought a mirror that was avertised 'Like a Pottery Barn one' Well Ebay cancelled the auction (after I won) but the seller contacted me, saying that she was not supposed to use the Pottery Barn name unless it was a Pottery Barn item. She shipped my item right away.
I would definatly contact him and find out why Ebay cancelled and if you have paid, to either get the item or have the money refunded!!

thanks everyone! I have no problem going in person to get them and to pay ( I was about to pay and then found out that it was cancelled) as long as it isn't anything illegal! lol I did email him with the info that EBAY sent me...

I'm going to check my email now & see if he got back to me!

I Just got an email from him saying:

'it seems that we had a description similar to another ebay member and that is why our auction was removed. You can still go ahead and make the purchase through our website'

what do you think?

i don't think they take PAYPAL-it's credit card through their site-not EBAY now. And even when it was through EBAY it said they didn't accept PAYPAL!

If they have a web based business going already, they probably pay their own fees to process credit cards and are dont need Paypal. That's the main reason I would think they don't accept Paypal. Will you be getting the same price by going through their website as you were getting on ebay?

yes I am getting the same price but I'm just afraid that it is something like illegal-i don't know why EBAY said 'We strongly discourage you from completing this sale.'
