ebay question...what do I do if (updated- now what?)

what I bid on and paid for is not what came?

I bought earrings, and the ones they sent are similar, but not the same, and I am not sure I like them.

contact the seller by email and tell them that you are not satisfied and that you will give negative feedback and contact ebay about their fraud policy if this isn't rectified

I did this once and actually cut and pasted the ebay policy in my email and the seller emailed me right back

sellers jump over neagative feedback

Yes, first contact the seller and let them know so it can be resolved. If it does not get resolved, leave negative feedback as well as contacting ebay.

Make sure you have a picture saved of the earrings that they actually pictured in the sale. I'm not sure if it's possible, but they may be able to edit or remove the pic, then you have no proof that the earrings are different than what you paid for.

yes save the pic...it will be up for 90 days...they cannot alter it after the first bid was made though....

Okay- I have not heard back from them. They were pretty qucik to respond when they wanted their payment!!

I emailed them again.

Hi there, These are no the new version of those earrings, let me see if I can get a pair of the old ones on monday, if I can we can just trade with each other, thanks

I think this is wrong......I don't want to have to go to the post office to mail them back, and I don't want to have to pay to ship them to her.
She should have changed the pic and description if they were different, no?

yes! how does one post a pic of earrings and send you a different pair? edited to say tell her this and tell her you want the earring you bid on!

These are the earrings I bid on

and the ones I got have stones on the inside too, so you can see them on the inside when you put them on. They look very cheap.

(they are obviously not real)
but I wanted them to look real, and the dumb stones on the inside make them look fake.

I emailed her this just now:

Shouldn't you have changed the description if the earrings are different?
Or at least notified me that you didn't have the ones I bidded on?

I think you should have her mail you the old version...with a check to mail the 'new' earrings back to her...anything less will result in negative feedback

I agree...i had a buyer that was unsatisfied...so I mailed her a check for the product...plus shipping to mail it back to me...she never cashed it...or mailed it back...I guess she wasn't expecting me to have her mail it back....
