I've used UBID alot in the past, but I just started reading the instructions to Ebay and my eyes got buggy. Do you find it to be easier then it seems?

One you are registered, it's all very simple. I bought tons of wedding stuff off there. They have alot more variety over Bidsville, Ubid and Yahoo auctions.

Paypal screwed me out of $114.00. The vendor never sent the item and Paypal said I waited to long to report it. Even though I explained I was waiting till the last minute(it was a fur lined cape for my wedding day) and then went on my honeymoon so I couldn't until I came back. So I'm out $114.00

I haven't had a problem with Paypal. To the girl who lost $114.00, try contacting the vendor and telling them you complained to paypal, at the same time fill out one of Paypal's complaint forms. There are two different types, one of them you can use after 30 days. I had a problem and the vendor didn't respond for two months at least. I did that and suddenly my account was credited, the vendor never contacted me at all, just credited my account.

I always use Paypal and have never had a problem...its easier than going to the post office to get a money order...I did that and the person never sent the item...but it turns out that they never got the moneyorder...so I had to go through an entire ordeal to get the money order back...but I finally did...but if the person had cashed it and screwed me...I wouldn't get it back

I like paypal

its quick easy and if you have any problems with the seller you can report them to paypal and file fraud charges against them if they fraud you

PayPal will not help you if there is a problem so don't do bank transfers through paypal.
I always use my AMEX card through paypal or by itself. When someone sold me a gift card that was supposed to be $315 but was $0 - AMEX gave me my money back. They told me I got the refund because Paypal never responded to them so they took the money back from them and credited my account.
AMEX rocks!

Also - make sure you have the real name of ther person you are buying from and speak to them by phone if it is a large purchase. Lots of people create fake feedback and register under fake names. Ebay told me they have no way of verifying if peole use their real names or if the credit card they used to rgister is valid! I always thought they'd help me track someone down but they said they don't get involved.
Be careful

I too have always used Paypal & never had any problems . . but to the woman who lost $114 - have you tried to fight that through your credit card company directly? If not that may be worth a try Good luck!
