Ebay users?

How hard is it to sell something on e-bay? How the heck do I do it? I feel so stupid.

is paypal a pain in the butt? does it cost anything? i was thinking to post that we could say we are in the city and to meet for exchange, since its time sensitive? is this normal?

paypal is easy - doesn't cost anything unless people pay with credit cards.

Meeting up with people limits your buyers to only locals. Depends on what you're selling. Al sold the hard top to his miata locally cause it cost a fortune to ship.

Everything I've sold has been out of state.

You can also take Money Orders. It usually takes about a week for you to get payment. Then you just ship the item out. I usually include insurance and sometimes delivery confirmation on the bigger items I ship...But books and Cd's I just ship media mail. It takes about 4 days for the people to get the package.

If you choose to use Paypal. I became a verified member and I applied for a paypal debit card. Now I can either transfer the money out of my paypal account to my checking account, take the money out at an ATM with my paypal card or Use my paypal debit card to purchase things. It is a VISa debit card.

Just follow the directions, remember to put that the buyer pays for shipping in your auction.

Also if you are going to list anything. It is always best to list the items on a sunday evening. This way your auction ends saturday afternoon. More people are going to see the auction on a saturday then during the week. There is more of a possibility that you will make more money on the item if you list it sunday.
