ebay vent

one of my buyers, who has only been registered since 9/23/03 and bought 5 things...complained to me in an email that I sold her something that wasn't described!!!

what a biotch! its massage lotion...not hand lotion...thats why its THICK...its not rotten!!!

I'm sending her money back and money to return the product, b/c I don't want negative feedback...

what would you have done!!??

Re: ebay vent

you did the right thing to avoid negative feedback.

Some are never happy & they don't know what they are buying!

Avoid grief & send her the refund.

You will encounter some real jerks once in a while

thats $7.70 I lost out on...I wasn't about to tell her not to send it back to me...I figured this way I could inconvience her a bit too

is there anyway you can refuse selling to new people?

Re: ebay vent

Yes Erica.

On your auction write:

If you have a feedback of 10 or less, (or whatever you wish) please do not bid.

I had some loser with 0 feedback outbid bidders on an item I had that would have sole for $300 but jerko bidded $385 and never paid Good thing the next bidder who didn't win bought it anyway.

Also IF the seller gives you negative feedback, you can respond to the feedback and state you refunded buyer's money, etc.

Don't worry....

Re: ebay vent

That's too bad that the bidder complained without reading the description properly.

It's becasue of jerks like that that other more experienced sellers won't sell to 'newbies' like me. Although I have to say the 3 things I won the people were wonderful.

I won something from a girl here and she was so great that when she realized she didn't have a box big enough for what I won, she drove to my dad's on LI and dropped it off!!! I was really happy and actually touched that she went out of her way to do that. She could have waited until the P.O. got bigger boxes and I wouldnt' have minded so I have to say I was very impressed.

Sorry that your buyer was a meanie!

thanks...I haven't heard back from the woman...but I mailed her a refund check....

What do I do if she doesn't return the lotion?

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. it's not the norm but soooo frustrating.

I don't know what to say if this woman does not return the lotion. Does ebay have a policy to help the sellers in situations like this? I hope it doesn't become an issue.

I'm so sorry! That sucks. I had somebody buy $50 worth of items (5 things), and I've been waiting a week for her to pay. I'm nervous she won't pay. Uggh!
