Edible Arrangements

My mom actually came up with a good wedding idea for once

Have any of you heard of these edible arrangements??? I think they would be a really cute idea to have as centerpieces instead of flowers!! But they are pricey...

I think if you made an announcment or put a card for people to eath them then then might...but i think they might just kind of look at them and think 'Oh how cool, we cant eat them...its a centerpiece..'

Hey =)

I think it is a really creative idea but there are a few things you should be cautious about. I made an edible arrangement once to bring to my FH's house, and it was a huge hit, but....

It took HOURS to make just one, I can not imagine how long it would take to make multiple and they need to be refrigerated so you would need the space to keep them. Plus, I don't know if the fruit would hold up all day for the reception looking fresh without refrigeration.

I would definetely talk to them at edible arrangements first to see if it is something that could be done, they would probably know. Good Luck!

Re: Edible Arrangements

let 1 person per table take it home as a gift or something. that could be nifty

Re: Edible Arrangements

After hearing all your opinions, maybe its not such a great idea after all! If it was like half the price, then I wouldnt care as much if people ate it or not

I just hateeee going the traditional route. Its one reason why I havent booked the hall yet! I'd much rather do a 'cruise' type of thing since a destination wedding is pretty much out of the question I duno! I'm all confused!! LOL

What about doing the cookie arragnement one, everyone can take that home by piece if they didnt eat it there, those wont go bad or get messy. You could also use it as your place card thingy. put tags on each cookie and then they'll have to take it. Those cookies are sooo good, my son got an arrangement for his communion, yumyum
