Edit Post BHB Board What Hotels to Block

I am getting married at the Chateau La Mer and there really isn't any hotels around there and the closet one looks like Melville Hilton on Route 110.

Anyone have any idea of prices there and maybe recommend a couple of other hotels to check out for Blocking rooms. Oh and do you have to pay when you block hotel rooms How does that work?

I'm not sure what hotel I would recommend in terms of closeness to CM. But we blocked off rooms at the Hampton Inn in Farmingville and we didn't have to leave any $$.

The only hotels in that are would be
Huntington Hilton
Melville Marriott
Massapequa Best Western

If anyone asks you for a credit card #, look elsewhere. I met with one hotel that wanted to charge me for any rooms that werent booked!!!

I recently posted about this and updated it today. We are going to block rooms at the Sheraton in Plainview (well, it will be a Sheraton in May, right now it is the Inn at Plainview). It's just slightly further than the Huntington Hilton but much nicer and they give you much more. They are a vendor on LIW so if you look under hotels you can see pix and some info. If you want, FM and I will give you the guys name and number!

Divabride I am going to check the Best Western in Massapequa I see they just did some remodeling and they might be a bit cheaper then the Hilton.

If you're going to go as far as Plainview, that's where my hotel is - the Holiday Inn, Plainview. It's actually a pretty nice hotel with a great lobby, bar and restaurant. The rate I got was $99/night, I really recommend them.

Im not sure if they are completely done, but yes they just went through a much needed renovation. The place looks really nice compared to what it used to look like!! If I remember correctly, she gave me a quote for $109 in October.
