I must say this is getting overwhelming. My FH and I are pretty much paying for everything ourselves and are on a budget. I would really appreciate some reasonable quotes or educator discounts. Our wedding is 7/27/14. I work as a special needs educator. My job and students are an important part of my life. We are looking for the following:
Photographers/photobooth limos florists make-up hair day of coordinator
NOTE: We cannot spend $4-5000k plus on photos. It's not going to happen so please don't waste my time or yours. We need to buy a house and just don't have the luxury to spend a lot of money for one day. I truly feel it can still be a memorable and lovely event regardless. Thank you for your time and help!!
I don't know of anyone who offers an educators discount but I also didn't ask.
For photos I suggest Ken Hild. He's wayyyyy under 4-5k and he's wonderful!!
For DJ/Photobooth- I suggest Phil and his crew at After Hours.. I'm booked with their 1 man dj/mc and photobooth and its definitely affordable.
For florist... I'd suggest Michelle at Hidden Essence! She's super affordable!
Pretty much all of the girls on this site are definitely on a budget (like FH and myself... we're also paying for this pretty much just us...) so I'm sure the other girls will also be able to help with limos, make up, hair and DOC.
Call Gil at Fade to Black and tell him your budget for photos/photobooth. I guarantee he'll work with whatever your budget is! He's awesome.

Check out Thomas Paul for photography and After Hours for DJ.
Most of the girls here, including myself, are on a budget so I'm sure you'll get helpful tips. And Thomas Paul is way under $4-$5K, so I'm not wasting your time or mine. My fiancé and I are saving on photography prices by making our own albums, might be something to consider if you're on a tight budget.
I know someone who got married last year who is a special needs educator as well, and none of the vendors she booked offered an educators discount.

I'm a gen ed/special needs teacher as well and I don't know of any discounts. However, a lot of the vendors will be willing to work with your budget. We booked with Joe from Camelot for our limos and he was great!

photo/video= Park Avenue Studio, that's who we are using
florist= Mayor's Flower cottage in Patchogue, they are great and reasonable. I have a quote for here. (even though I am using someone else most likely but I don't have their quote yet)
also for RH I'm getting married at The Riviera and it's a beautiful place and very reasonable, especially if you consider a Friday or Sunday wedding
FM me with any other questions or if you want specific quotes. Also I'm sorry I don't believe people give any kind of discount unless it's military or police/firefighter. those are the only I've seen so far! HTH!
