I was bragging to you all on Saturday that I got my dress. It was my second choice dress and I was told my first choice was discontinued (true). Because I was so upset, they gave me $200 off and I left happy about the deal, but unsure about the actual dress.
You all said it was lovely and you liked the long train. The truth is, that dress was not me. I'm very simple. I am not beading, lace and full cathedral train. I set out looking for a plain satin dress and had trouble finding it. Another plain, white satin dress I loved they said was also discontinued.... And knowing I had to stay in my budget, I didn't want to venture off to other stores.
Well, today it dawned on me, the dress I tried on in red and white... Maybe there was another store out there that had the dress in ivory and champagne. I called Westbury and they told me, ironically, the David's closest to my home was the only DB in all the East Coast that actually had it and in my size! How insane is that?
They held it for me all day and I swapped the fancy, beaded dress for my plain Jane satin number.
I am nervous though. Sunday, I figured it was a done deal and sent photos to all my bridesmaids, my mom, my aunt, etc. of me sportin' the fancy dress that is now not mine.
Here I am in a totally different gown which I was told by the bridesmaid who has been helping me dress shop, isn't very flattering in the back fat area, but otherwise looks very pretty. I am making a promise to work out hard and try to drop 25 lbs and purchase a tight shaper thing to help with the back fat.
Photos of some skinny chick in my dress are in my album. We didn't have time to snap photos of me in it and my friend doesn't know how to lace it up. So this is all I've got for you.

I love the new dress too! whats most important is that ur in the dress YOU love...because when ur happy with ur selection it will show all over your face and also in how u carry yourself in the dress.

Thanks girl! I think my fear is my family and friends saying 'Um, this dress is so boring, we loved the other one' - this is just more my style. Simple :)

All that matters.... is that YOU are happy! You obviously weren't feeling 100% about the dress if you kept thinking about the other one. Don't worry who you sent the dress to already OR if they like you better in the other one. The only thing that matters is that YOU like the dress and feel confident that it's 'the' dress. The fact the ONLY store that had the dress and in your size is the one near you...-is a sign (in my opinion).

That's what's so funny. I tried on a smaller size in the red one which I couldn't purchase due to my bridesmaids being in brown... but I was impressed they were able to some how lace it. But truly I needed to get the right size, which was funny how the store near me DID have that and only that. The other stores were like in Utah and California! Ha ha!
Also, it's all ironic. My friend said at the time of the original purchase, 'think of it as you weren't meant to have that dress :( for whatever reason.' Then when I told her, 'GUESS WHAT! THEY HAVE IT IN WAYNE!' She replied, 'IT'S FATE!' Ha ha!

I was so surprised to see this because you seemed happy with your other dress, but this one is so pretty in its simplicity! Don't let other people tell you what your dress should be...it will be beautiful!
