this is my 2nd month on. and its crazy. intermittent spotting is not even the case. its like a full period 2x a month!!!
last month i called doc and she said it takes a while for my system to even out
so this month when i get it again, she is putting me on a higher dose
anyone experience this? what helps it? my biggiest problem is that before BC, my cycle was fine. now i have my 2nd period on my wedding day/honeymoon time!

What did she put you on???? I had problems with SO MANY kinds of BC before I switched to NuvaRing.

Ive only ever been on Orthotricyclen. I never had any problems with it, not even in the beginning. I've been on it for 9 or 10 years now

It really depends on the type of BC. So, my first question is, what are you on? And suggestion is to ask for something that is progestrin only. I use this because it lowers the risk of ovarian cancer, which I'm at high risk for since my mother had it. And I've never had a problem with this type of BC.

Im on Yaz and the first month was great then the second month I had spotting then the third month I had my bleeding the whole month but after that its been normal....give it time they say it takes like 3months for your body to regulate to it.

i was on ortho lo for like 9 months, and i seriously had my period for probably 3 weeks a month. it was so awful. don't even ask why i stayed on it...i think i thought that that's just what my cycle was like. not too smart. anyway, i got on yaz (which is a higher dose) and now i'm good.

im an avaine (its the generic of allesse) i think.
im supposed to pick up the higher dosage at the pharmacy today
but i dont want my period for my wedding!!! my cycle used to be soooo good. i am annoyed i even signed up for this BC!! grrrr. but we dont want kids right nowwwwwwwww

yeah ive gotten my pd twice in a month due to the pills. infact i just went through this last month. its really annoying. it can happen to me if i skip just one day of not taking the pill. im on a high dose pill and it still happens

I'd say ask your doctor about progestrin only pills such as Mircette or its generic Kariva.

im on femcon. its freaking 50 bucks a month. sometimes i get free samples from my doc. i just saw her and got 6 months free ! i asked if i could go on a generic brand bc i cant afford 50 bucks a month for pills, and she didnt reccomend it because they are not as strong as the real brand. we spoke about how i can ' play' with the pills so i wont get my period on my wedding. basically, if you keep taking the pills you shouldnt get your period...dont take the last week of pills ( if your last week is a diff color ? ).

I was on ortho-tri cyclen but had a stroke because of it...Now I stay far away from BC.

I just started on NuvaRng again after not being on anything for 7 months! I loved it the first couple of times! but I now have had my period for 4 1/2 weeks staright!1 My doctor says its normail though whenever you start new hormones! Just ucks though!! So I'm sure its normail to get period 2x cuz of hormones!
