Effin Fuming *UPDATED*

Ok so I ordered my wedding shoes August 3rd, they have to make the shoes as they are ordered so it took 2 months, fine, I was sooo excited when I got the call that my shoed were being shipped to me. I got the shoes today took them out of the box and the shoes are a size 37, now I know european sizes a 37 is a size 7....I ordered a size 6.5 because that was the smallest but my ideal size is a 6 so of course the shoe was big on the back. I called up the company spoke to the girl who said she would take care of it, then......she calls me back not even 10 min later and is trying to tell me that a 37 is a 6.5 *** I used to work for Saks 5th avenue in the shoe department and we sold european sizes and a 36.5 was a 6.5......I'm so upset I feel like they are trying to pull some funny sh!t with me. Did anyone ever hear of a 37 being a 6.5??

*UPDATED* The girl just called me and said that they can definitely make me the size 6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sooo happy, there would've been absolutely no way that I could've pulled off the 7 it was way to big, uhhh I'm so relieved!!!!!!!

nope. the way u have it is correct: 37 is 7, 36.5 is 6.5
I wear both (being from over seas and all) and thats how we measure them up
dont let them getaway with it

this is usually the case, however i have been in stores where tey dont have half sizes so the closest to 6.5 would be 37, maybe thats what she meant?

eta: in other words size 37 would fit both 6.5 and 7 if that makes any sense

its hard with shoes, its not like its measured in inches or any standard way... just like in some shoes i know it runs small so i have to order bigger sizes

dont stress you have time to get it sorted out

really???? maybe that is the case then. I called them back and they said that they'll look into trying to get me the 6 but not sure if they can I guess i'll find out tonight if I'm going to get it, I really really hope so. This is so upseting I want these shoes so bad.

Yea they are open toed, so it's not even like I could put an insert in them I'll just have to sit tight and hope that they could get me the 6

Yea i was going to say if they were closed toe, get inserts and stick cotton balls in the front Well also with open toed shoes, i find that they run smaller. It may be in my head because i do not like when people let their toes hang over the shoe!

so glad it worked out. I remember the shoes you ordered and they are gorgeous! I was thinking of getting them too but cant cause the heel is too high for me. Fh is just a bit taller than me and I wanna make sure im not towering over him that day.

yeah I hear ya but I'm actually having them remove the front and back platform and bring the shoe down because I don't want it that high either. I found a really great shoemaker in manhatten that I'm going to bring it to and he is going to remove them for me so the shoe will really only end up being about 2 1/2- 3 inches.

LoL I know....I'm telling you all I do is talk about my shoes lol, they seriously look like they were designed specifically for our dress, it's crazy. If you want I will give you the info for the shoemaker. I e-mailed him a pic of the shoe and everything and told him how much the shoe cost and that he needs to be sure that he would have absolutely no problems doing it. He saw the pic and said that he does stuff like that all the time and that it wouldn't be a problem!! I'll give you his info if you decide that you want them, just let me know!!
