Eighteen people did not respond for my sister's shower...

INCLUDING the groom's mother I have to give my final count to the place we are holding it tomorrow! I'm so upset. Out of 80 people, so far, only 38 are coming I just want her shower to be wonderful, and now I'm afraid no one's going to come

Unfortunatelly I would say place some phone calls :( Who knows maybe some of them didnt get it... Some forgot :( Not saying thats o.k. at all, but if you want her to have a nice shower and you want those people there, give them a call.

I don't have any of their phone numbers. That's the real problem. My sister's FMIL, who also did not respond, gave us such a headache when we tried to get addresses from her. We had to basically harrass her for her list, and that took us over two months! So I will have to harrass her again for phone numbers considering 17 of the 18 people are her family! I'm sure we'll get some phone calls between today and tomorrow, and I'm sure we'll get some people who just show up without an rsvp, but I'm just afraid my sister will be upset that hardly anyone came. I mean, we have a 50% decline rate going here. That's pathetic!

I am sorry to hear this is happening... I would say to call your sister's FMIL ASAP and explain the sitution....I really hope things work out for your sister!!!

Oh man that stinks! The only thing I can tell you is believe it or not a lot of people phone #s are online whether they like it or not. Go to whitepages.com or something and give it a shot.

I'm sure it will end up being ok, but I'm just nervous. So much went into planning this. I got so worried the other day that I ran to Bed, Bath, Beyond and bought like half the things on her registry for her wishing well. I know people don't usually shop until the last minute, but I am just afraid she is going to feel unloved if all these people don't come I love my sister, she's my best friend, so I just want it to be great for her. I'm probably just freaking for nothing, but I'm a worrier.

Don't worry about your decline rate! I had a lot of declines for my shower. And, I also had people who flew in from our of state to be there for me. I was just so excited that it was MY SHOWER that I honestly didn't even notice the people who weren't there...

Id call...definatly...
when we sent our e-party invites....we didnt hear back from people....and they said they didnt call...bc they assumsed we knew they were coming-like aunts and uncles...
maybe she thinks its silly....

I hate when people are rude like that. I am sure it will still be great but it was not fair to you what they did.

How rude of them! Maybe people were on vacation and forgot? That really stinks but I'm sure the shower will be beautiful with or withouth those rude people!
