Okay I want to take pictures outside the day of my wedding which is this time next year
i don't want to go anywhere too far because I am worrier and don't want to get stuck in traffic and miss my whole wedding
I was thinking about going to Eisenhower Park since it is on the way to Chateau Briand
Anyone have any other suggestions in the Carle Place /Westbury area or any stops along the Southern State or Meadowbrook or the Sunrise Highway
I don't want to do the Garden City Gazebo in case there are other brides there
And I don't care about paying for a permit [I just won't tell FH]
TIA Ladies

Re: Eisenhower Park
Lots of brides do Westbury Gardens and there is a fee for there. You could even stop at Jones Beach - i dont consider that too out of the way.

Re: Eisenhower Park
We are coming from Queens so I want to head toward Long Island and not get stuck in traffic on the Belt or the Southern State
I am going to drive out to Eisenhower this weekend and check it out since I have never been there before
As for Jones Beach sand is sand LOL

Re: Eisenhower Park
Eisenhower Park is very nice... Definatly check out Old Westbury Gardens. It is very easy to get to Chateau Briand from there and you wont have to worry about getting back on the parkways.
Good Luck

I don't want to mess around with Queens traffic I would rather go somewhere close to the reception hall

Re: Eisenhower Park
FH and I are driving to Eisenhower Park on Sunday to check it out and if we like it we will use that park
I like Westbury Gardens though after looking at pictures of it......decisions decisions.....
both have a permit fee so it doesn't really matter
Thanks everyone for your input ....... now we just pray for amazing weather on April 9, 2011
