Elaina or European Image Salon?????

I had wanted to use Pauline for my wedding (my fi's sister used her and was VERY VERY happy with her!) but she was all ready booked. So now I am trying to decide between Elaina and European Image Salon. The price difference is pretty big and I've heard good things about both but was hoping for added input before making my decision. Me wedding is only a little over a month away, so I have to decide soon! Any advice???

Why don't you try a trial with Elena and see if you like the results. I think the trial is $45.

I read so many good things about Euroean Salon - but never tried them. I did go to a trial with Elena and I am going to use her. She is so nice and she will do what ever you want - on my trial she spent a long time on one hair style and I didn't like it - she did it all over until I did. Plus I love that she stays with you. I was going to try someone else that I read about - but I would pay $250 for hair and make-up and then she leaves (My make-up will be on so many hours before the reception starts - I like that she can touch it up for me. Good Luck on your decision. Everyone I asked (friends and family) said I'm crazy for not using her. I hope this helps.

I couldn't remember who it was that stayed with you for touchups. Is her makeup natural looking??? I can't remember what everyone said about her. She does updo's right??? Thanks in advance!

You can call Pauline also. She is the who originally suggested Elena when she was already booked. If you do a search you will find her number. They both do makeup and hair.

Another Elena question...

I`m starting to focus my thoughts toward hair and makeup and would love to have someone come to the house to do both. But I want to make sure I`m reading this right ... when it`s said she stays for touchups, does that mean she`s with the bride the entire day?

I think she stays with the bride until the first dance. It reallys is a good deal considering all the time she spends with you. I believe the cost is $275. They also will do hair and/or makeup for the girls for $40 for each hair and makeup.

To anyone who has or will use Pauline and Elena...

Does anyone have any pictures of their wedding day, or their trials of how the makeup and hair came out??? I'm really interested in them to do mine next year, but I have no clue on their style. How far in advance should you schedule a trial???

Hi, I was just curious as to where Elena and Pauline are from on the island..for ure trials do u have to go to them or will they come to u? I am trying to decide about hair and makeup for my wedding.. are there prices reasonable..or is it cheaper to go to a salon..and also..what happens if u want hair/makeup done for the bridal party..does more then 1 person come to do it...my wedding is on a Sunday at noon and that means I need people to do my hair and makeup relatively early..any suggestions/info would be appreciated. I booked Pauline for my wedding in 5 weeks. She is in Rockville Centre and you have to go to her for the trial. She comes to you the day of the wedding. See does both hair and makeup, but my bridal party and I are going to my salon for our hair and then she is coming to my mom`s house to do our makeup. Pricewise she seemed in line with what other hair/makeup people are charging. I had my trial with her 2 weeks ago, and was thrilled with the results. Her # (516) 678-8273.

I went for a trial about a month and a half ago - I posted earlier today - she is extremely eager to please - she will try different styles - you go to her home - she has a million pictures of brides she has already done. She stays with you until your first dance - in fact I have to send her all of the directions for my June 16th wedding. I also called to ask her if we can do another trial (she is like of course as many as it takes) I just want to go to her again when it's closer to the day. She told me when I went that I had dry skin and recommended some things that I should do to take care of) and they have worked. I would give her a try!! Any other questions just ask

I live in RVC and it was about 15 minutes from me - I forget the town it is off NP or Lie I think exit 20 something (I'm sorry I can't remember) but I do have the address at home - I have to mail her my depost and directions so I will post tomorrow.

How many months before the wedding should you schedule for a trial???

My wedding is Sept 30 and my trial is in May. I will prob do another trial in the beginning of Sept just to make sure the style is right. I am doing the trial now because she holds the date when you speak to her initially and if you go for the trial and dont like her, you have time to find someone else and she can rebook the date. However I am sure that she will do a great job. But have the trial done soon so you know if you like her.
