LOL - We're going tonite too - I personally didn't like the LED's - the color is a little too funky for me - and I heard that the LCD's - depending on the lighting in the room - may have a glare. I'm going to stick w/ a plasma at this point.

But if anyone knows anything to the contrary, please voice your opinions.

LED has a better picture and a bigger price.

We have a 1080i, 120hz Sony LCD. It has a great picture. You want something that has a great refresh rate or else it looks like trails. 60 is eh. Also, I prefer a matted screen.

I'm not a fan of plasma because of the burn in.

Umm 18 months no interest is what we are going for. We were going to get one at Costco after the wedding and pay cash but we can't wait a month with the piece of crap we have now. Plus we have to get a few other small electronics while we are there.

I saw one with a refresh rate of like 600... is that a typo or really good/bad? I'm seriously electronically challenged

try PC Richards, we got a 40' Samsung, 1080p LCD, and FH opened a credit card and we paid no interest for a year. it was $1,175 at the time, the price has gone down I believe.

Once we paid off the tv we canceled the credit card.

I already have a PC Richards card so I can't get the no interest until next June. They send me that deal every year for my bday.

I think you are mistaking 600 with 60. I like the 120hz. I think I know the TV you are looking at. It is a bit cheaper, by almost $200 than the 120hz. I would definitely look at PC Richards though. They usually match the price and give you a better deal if you haggle.

Totally agree. The life of a plasma TV is much shorter. Shauna email Mike - he is ridiculous when it comes to electronics... Seriously he knows EVERYTHING about them. And he loves talking about them lol.

I believe you still can. Call up because it doesn't hurt to try. When we bought our tv from them, they threw in a 5 year warranty.

That massive thing in my living room is a Samsung LCD. Mike LOVES it.

Do NOT get a plasma.........especially if Matt is a gamer. The pictures get burnt into the screen if it's on long enough.
