I was having a discussion with my mom about what we are going to do about some of our relatives who are becoming too old to care for themselves. My Grandmother has Alzheimers, and eventually she won't be able to stay by herself at all - she is beginning to forget if she has eaten, so my mom is starting to keep her at her house during the week so she can drive home during lunch hours to feed her.
I was curious what other families on the Island are doing to care for aging family members. I'm sure we aren't alone that we would prefer not to send her to a nursing facility, but to care for her.. Someone will have to quit their job.

My Dad's Mom has Alzheimers, I don't call her my Grandma cause I don't talk to them but she has a home health aide. HTH
