Re: Elite Palace - wedding venue?

You can try the Village Club at Lake Success - I'm almost positive they can accomodate your kosher requirement, and will definitely meet your Great Neck guests' requirements.

ok, usually I'm one to defend newbies and their 'opinions'.. but while reading your OP.... my mouth was hanging open....
terrace on the park- yuck...
I know I went there and felt it was gorgeous, we didn't book it for different reasons.. but I'd never say 'yuck'. I'd say 'not my style' or 'there was something off when i went'.. but not 'yuck'... I saw that and thought- gee, she made an itty bitty mistake in her wording.. oh well...
but then you go on to trash a bunch of other places as well... granted I'm not booked at any of those places, it still hurt my feelings. I can imagine what you'd post about my hall if you went there.

I just think that you should maybe edit your OP so that others don't become offended.

Not for nothing, but more than one person said this and in a not so inflammatory way. Jussayin.

Re: Elite Palace - wedding venue?

By nature human brain tends to focus on the negative. Nobody seems to notice the good things I said about other places.
As far as I know there is freedom of thought in the US ... I am sure some people will find the hall I am going to pick not of their taste, everybody has a different opinion and taste.

Just ignore it- a lot of other girls gave good advice. I agree that you could've been a little more PC, but I also agree that people have their own tastes. Take your own advice and focus on the positive advice you got back!

Re: Elite Palace - wedding venue?

It def. looks amazing in the pictures, I haven't gone to see it yet but I heard they have more than 1 wedding at the time (not a fan of) and plus I was reading that it's in a very busy area so you can hear the traffic/cars even at night during the ceremony ...... these are some of the reviews I read on line.

Re: Elite Palace - wedding venue?

How was Elite Palace similar to Sand Castle?

The decor or the outside neighborhood?

Thanks!
