Thanks for asking. I went to a new person this past weekend and he did my hair cut/color beautifully. He showed me pics of an updo he did for someone and if he can do that for me, I will be set. I am going tonight for a trial. And he isn't charging me for a trial either. He will come to me. I will report back after today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My hair trial tonight was terrific. He did my hair with the greatest of ease and it looked beautiful. He didn't even do it as painstaking as he will that day so I can't wait to see how it comes out. He can bring someone else to do my MOH & BM and he will do me & my Mom. They're coming to me and they're not expensive at all considering the prices I have been hearing. I am so thrilled. Today I was able to check this off the list and I booked a place for the rehearsal dinner. And...we got back for responses....20 yes's and 3 no's so far. Yay!!

I did bring pictures but he showed me a photo of a person whose hair he did and told him to do exactly that and I'd be set. The best feeling was sitting there and seeing that this person didn't have a question in his mind about what looked good and how to do it. I can completely understand the message you posted when you did your trial at MaryAnne's (way back when you were single :o)) since I have now had the same experience. I'm just glad to have this settled. He does my friend's hair and when I told her how unhappy I was with the first trial. she insisted I try him. Turns out he cut & did highlights in my hair better than the girl who has been doing it. I'm very happy. Now make up...

I am getting married in September at the Westbury Manor and am still wondering as to who should do my hair and makeup. The one glitch is that I don't have much time since I have a 11 a.m. ceremony and I need to have everything done by 9 a.m. before the photographer arrives at my house. Can you tell me where you got your hair done and how much it cost and if you know if he/she is willing to come to the house or whether you have to go to the salon.
