Email Invites?

Ok, so there are only 22 days left until my wedding!!
Now we haven't received many RSVP's but after speaking to a few people we found out many invites never even arrived!! and were never returned either! Now one of my guests said you know, just email me a copy, I mean at this point we're giving people the info via phone, so would it be completely wrong to say hey let me just email it to you and let me know how many people are coming?

That's scary! I think following up with people by email is fine, just phrase the message in such a way that people understand time is of the essence. (People have a way of ignoring emails.)

yes i've emailed my proof to people who didnt get the invite

i had a friend mail me an invite 3x a few years back, finally she emailed bc i never got it!!

Wow that's crazy. I think given the circumstances and the number of people you need to contact an email is fine. If you explain what happened I'm sure everyone will understand.

So far i've only had good responses, I still can't believe they never arrived given I had them weighed at the post office and sent out since April! But thank goodness for email I guess! Good thing is many people were aware of the date since we had to call them to get addresses *phew* I'm starting to feel the stress!
