Did you do the following: Go to explore Click on the C drive Find the 'Temporary Internet Files' folder and open it. Click on the first file and hold ctrl and 'a' at the same time to select them all, then delete...

I now have empty cookies folder empty internet temporary and contents
I even had to log on to post and I never have to do that

Clearing out the temporary internet files should have done it - that makes NO SENSE. I believe that's what Lisa did and it worked!!
After you cleared the folders, you hit refresh right? (not that you should have to)

I'm on AOL, so I just went to preferences, then Internet, then delete temp internet files. Of course it locked up (and this is a NEW pc), but I signed off and on again and tried it and it worked!!
