Emerging from the fog...

Hello to my dear LIW friends! How I have missed my time on LIW. I have been reminding myself these past 3 weeks that all of the other LIW mommies have made it back to the boards after a few weeks, and that I too would survive. This is literally the hardest thing I have ever done in my life- I could have never imagined the ups and downs. The love I feel for my son is absolutely overwhelming - and the love for my DH has just grown in leaps and bounds. But boy do the tears come easily lately. I have cried every day since the little guy came home!

Connor is beginning to adjust to his new home and we are beginning to adjust to him. He is just the cutest little boy ever, but does he like to scream! Wow! Sleep was elusive the first two weeks but we are starting to get into somewhat of a routine now. He is BF so well and gained 8 ounces by his 2 week birthday! He is eating every 3 - 3 1/2 hours now. I am cncerned that he may be sensitive to something in my diet, so I am cutting out milk products this week to see what happens.

My DH went back to work this week which has been hard. He works nights, so I get pretty anxious at night being alone with Connor but I am getting used to it. Tonight we are going to give the little guy his first bath and today will be his first trip to Central Park. He loves taking walks (a great sleep inducer!)

I will post my birth story ASAP. Thank you to everyone for your support and good wishes. It is great to be back!

Jessica - he is just beautiful! You look so awesome too - you are positively glowing! I can't imagine how hard it must be! I hope things continue to go well and I look forward to seeing more pics of your beautiful little guy!! He is just amazing I can't wait to hear your birth story!

Your baby is beautiful and you look absolutely great. I am sorry that things have been so difficult. But I bet a lot of mommies on here can relate.
