OK so clearly I'm not emomma, but I'm your date twin
I got mine already... We went to the one on Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens and all we needed were our drivers license and cc/money order for $35.

No problem!! It's definitely not too soon!! Have fun!!
PS - Be prepared to wait in line for a little while... and definitely either bring a money order or CC.. they don't accept cash!

Hey sorry just saw this! lol I just brought our license and baptismal certificates :))) We also went to the Long Beach City Hall and were in and out in 10 minutes!
