Have read all 3 - Loved Anna K,although I think it took me a year to finish (b/c was following the strategy of 1 ch./night and w/Tolstoy's chapter length...). I don't remember Atlas all that well. Empire Falls was good - not uplifting, but kind of stayed with me.

I have had a really hard time getting into empire falls - it could be all this wedding planning had totally consumed me, but usually i can get into a book pretty easily. I have heard it's good once you get into it.
