Has anyone ever attended empire state university before? I am thinking about taking journalism and enrolling in their distance learning programs so I can do everything from home. But before doing this, i wanted to know more about how it worked from someone who maybe went there. Thanks so much.

Re: Empire state university...anyone?
I didn't but my older sister did. She liked it b/c it fit her lifestyle. It was basically a bunch of independent studies. She'd meet with her prof. a few times a semester, be given reading assignments and papers due at the end of the semester or throughout the semester. It worked well for her since she has kids and going to class was difficult.

She did it to get her associates then went onto nursing school. You can get your bachelors there too though.

I have 21 credits thru ESU. I like the web courses way more than the print ones. Some of the print courses require you to fill out 'Dittos' every week and mail them in. It was too much trying to keep up with the paper. THe web courses were great! I am going to finish up in September.
