enagement party questions???

my party is coming up- we are having it in a party room at a restuarant. who puts together the centerpeices- do i or does the resturant staff? who puts the seating cards out?
do you think i can trust people to take pictures with cameras on the table or do you think that i should give cameras to certain people and trust them to take the pictures? is it rude to ask people to take pictures for us?

My hall will put the place card frames on a table for us. The centerpieces, they will put out half of it and the other half we will bring in which are balloons and put them on ourselves. I will also have cameras on each table. I will have one of the BMs take pictures of things that I want. I am going to have my own camera (I am a camera person). As well as two video cameras shooting at once. Ask someone that you trust to take the pictures for you. I wouldn't put a camera in my sister's hands b/c she is a dumby when it comes to taking pics! So I e-mailed all my BMs asking them what they would like to do to help me the night of my party. I had a list.

We are having our in a restaurant as well - but not in a private room - they are opening up the restaurant for our party so we will have the whole place to ourselves.

The cocktail hour will be in the back area (the main entrance and bar are actually in the back) and the sit down meal will be in the main part of the restaurant.

We tell them how many tables and how many people per table and they will set them up any way we choose (tables of 4 up to 20). They also will be putting flowers on the tables so we will not need to do this. Whether you do this or not I think depends on where you are having your party and the feeling of the place. What do they normally place on the tables? Do you like that?

They will use their own placecards for us but mom decided she wanted us to get our own. She took me to this great little paper store (in same strip as wedding salon of manhasset) where they got the invites. She went to a few stores and says they have the most interesting and unusual selections and the prices were good. We got these impressionist place cards with a couple dancing.
