Energy Star Washer Machines

Energy Star Washer Machines

We just bought one today, as they had a $50 rebate from LIPA. Does anyone have one and do you see a difference in the way your clothes are washed due to the low water usage, etc. Thanks so much.

Re: Energy Star Washer Machines

I think they're basically all energy star now. And I don't think it refers to water usage, but electricyt usage, which doens't effect how your clothes are washed, it's just about the efficiency of the machine. I think most new appliances are enrgy star. FH's washer/dryer are 15 years old and they're energy star..my computer monitor, the fridge, etc etc... basically everything's energy star now, i think it's a good thing. I'm not an expert, but I don't think there's any disadvantage...new appliances are more energy efficient.
