eng party toasts and mother's day?

Our eng party is the 10th. I know my parents and brother are making toasts. I think some other family friends will do so also. Is it necessary to respond for either me or my FI to respond to the toasts with our own? If so, when do we respond? After everyone is done?

Also, since it is mother's day the next day we wanted to honor our mothers with a bouquet of roses- should we incorporate that into us thanking our guests?

Just looking for suggestions. Thanks.

I don' think it's necessary for you two to respond if you don't feel like it. at ours my father made a toast then FH godmother and that was it. We didn't say anything. i think the flowers for mother's day is a great idea! Have a great time at your party!

I don't think that you need to respond either.

You could just give a nice Thank You unplanned. I think that's better than a speech from the future Bride & Groom.
