Engaged!!

HAHA yea the shock takes a while..I got engaged in June and I still look down and im like WOW when did this happen..it feels like a dream!

Well a little backround info...im 26 years old and i work as a case manager in a homeless shelter. Me and my FH met a little over 3 years ago. My brother introduced us and the rest is history. He proposed yesterday and i was sooo surprised. He had date nigh planned for friday and planned to do it when we got home but i was super tired and fell asleep soon as we got home. I went to work Sat. morning and when I got home he gave me a card and said he forgot to give it to me yesterday. The card was sooo sweet, i went to turn around to give him a hug but he wasnt there, i look down and he was on one knee with a ring!!! I coudlnt have asked for anything better!! I hoping for a fall wedding in 2011 but am unsure if that is possible, feels like their is to much to do and that is not enough time.


I have so many questions and im a little overwhelmed haha but i want to enjoy being engaged for a second. But i am wondering how long people wait till they have their engagment party?

Congrats! DH and I were engaged Christmas of 2008 but didn't have our e-party til May of 2009. It's whatever works best for the both of you!
