ENGAGEMENT blessings!

I heard you can have a cermony in the church and be given the ring and have a blessing..

Has anyone heard of this?

I think that is a Greek tradition... But I could be wrong.

ask Marcela, I believe in the Greek Orthodox religion you can do this..

They blessed our rings at our last precana at our church. It was beautiful.

Hi: The girls are right. We had an engagement cermony at our e-party. The priest came and blessed the rings and had us say vows to each other. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Not every Greek has a enagement party with a ceremony. The blessing can also be done at the wedding ceremony. Here's the link to my e-party pics. Marcela's e-party

I had made my confirmation last May (a little late) but the priest that is marrying us did the service, and asked me if I would like my ring blessed before the service, it was really nice..
