So my Fh sister called the other day to tell us her engagement party is going to be the end of March. I have never bought a gift for a wedding before and am wondering what we should get her. FH thinks that we should just give her money, but I think we should buy her a little gift too, so atleast she has something to open, plus its his sister. Could you guys give me some suggestions as to what we should get her?? thanks :)

Does she have a registry? If not, how about a cake topper. I got my friend a lenox one for her engagement party, it was beautiful!

I'm with you, I wouldn't want to give just money. For our niece, I bought a bunch of the monogrammed barware from Williams Sonoma.

Although those ideas are nice (the toasting flutes with cake server and cake topper) sometimes those are things a bride and groom would like to pick out themselves.
You could always get her an album or picture frame with the date on it. Something personalized always works well.

You could get a nice crystal 8x10 frame they can out their wedding picture in and put money inside the frame.
