my friend just got engaged! I was going to order her a magazine subscription but she already knows everything that she wants...she has had an ongoing folder of things for some time now:) any ideas of a little something I could give just to say congrats...thanks in advance

Perhaps a gift certificate to Blockbuster, favorite restaurant, or movie tickets as she & her FH will most likely be on a budget with an upcoming wedding. A picture frame she & FH can use to hold a e-picture. If you’re a DIY kind of gal maybe make her a bride tank top and include some white flip flops for the day of or HM. What about a variety of kitchen utensils (flipper, spatula, potato masher, garlic crusher) in a nice container. A gift certificate for some spa related service to counteract the wedding stress.

My cousin got me some great books when I got engaged - an etiquette book, Chicken Soup for the Bride's Soul, a wedding countdown clock that came with a book, and a wedding scrapbook! I think any of those or any combination of those would be a great gift. I've been working on wedding scrapbook as we go along, and it's been a great way to relax and ENJOY the planning process.
