Engagement gift for FH

My FH and I have been talking about engagement gift ideas for him from me....has anyone else done this? He has $$$ taste - so far he thought of:

a new watch
new golf clubs
piece of art we like....

I got mine one, just because I thought it would be nice because he bought my ring.

It was something we could both use together in our new a house, but something that He WANTED>

I think it is a nice idea.

my fh got a surround sound system for the entertainment center. (whatever that's what he wanted)

I agree Clarissa- think it's nice!!! I like the idea of getting something for the BOTH of you, for the new apt., etc.

Can I ask you in what range the e-gift was? I'm thinking $1500-2000?

Well, I was going to get FH an engagement gift.. after all, he already spent a ton of money on the ring. So, I thought about getting him some material things- then I asked him about it- and he said not to bother.

I decided on taking him to a really nice dinner-- like upwards of $300 dinner.. we are both foodies and appreciate the decadence and fun with a fancy restuarant.. We decided on Aureole-- we still have yet to go, but, we'll get there!

We just bought a house so $$$ is tight I spent about $500, I thnk FH would have been upset if I had spent more.... right now we need practical things like carpet and paint...

I am sure whatever you get him he will really appricated
