I am a teacher and do not want my students coming to my wedding uninvited. I also don't have any great reproducible pictures ready .... Should we just hold off and do the Wedding Announcement?

Oh that's a hard one... I have the same problem.. I teach part time at a college and my studdents would ALL show up...I basically did not announce an engagement just sent STD out to people on the guest list. I don't even think i am going to do a wedding announcement.

I did the same. Although my mom was calling everyone and the pope announcing engagement.

our announcement didn't have the exact date, it just said, 'October 2009'

If you want to do an engagement don't put the exact day- you could even just say the season/year if you wanted.

I didnt do either one.
If you are worried about your Engagement announcement bringing unwanted guests dont fill out all the information about your wedding ont he paperwork you need to send in. Just put the month and year with out the date and with out your RH
