Has anyone planned an engagement party? If so, can you tell me what you did and where you had it? I am looking to have one at the end of January 2005 or the beginning of February 2005.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Engagement party
We had our daughters engagement party at Katy Daly's in Massapequa (kinda central located) We had about 120 people. They were wonderful and did a great job. They have a private room downstairs (a bit inconvenient for older people down a flight of stairs) but everyone did fine and we had a great time.

Re: Engagement party
My parents had our engagement party at our house. It was perfect...close family only - about 60 people, had it catered by a great Italian place. It made hours and reservations not an issue and everyone had a great time. My mom hired a woman to help heat things up, clean up, etc... so she could enjoy it. Good luck!

Re: Engagement party
We had my Engagement party at the Meadow club and it was great. We ended up paying $50 per head (after taxes and grat) and that included coct hour, dinner and the cake. Not sure if you want to go that big but it's an idea.

Re: Engagement party
Hi-
We are having ours in April at a Knights of Columbus where my brothers are both members. We ar having about 100..close friends and family.
One of my friends had it catered at her house..which was really nice and intimate! She had about 60 people..just the wedding party and close friends and family.
Some people have it in a restaurant too!
Good Luck!

we had about an hour at the bar area...like a cocktail hour where we met and greeted everyone, then we moved into the dining room for a three course meal.
