My fiance and I were thinking about having a low key engagement party. A backyard party would be perfect, however, we wouldn't be able to have it until late october, or early november, and by then, it will be too cold for an outside party. Can anyone think of any ideas that are inexpensive, where we can have an engagement party?
My FI and I reserved some space in a lounge in Manhattan - we only had to pay for our drinks - the appetizers were on the house. It was very low key - much more of an excuse to have a good time in the city than a 'real' engagement party - but it accomplished our goal of celebrating with our friends!
well it really depends on how you define low key. My mom wanted to have some people over one Sun night (after dinner) and served wine and cheese and we had a cake and coffee and it was EXACTLY what i wanted. I was so happy. we had about 20 people. No friends, cousins. Just grandparents, godparents, siblings, parents. It was PERFECT!!!
