Hey.....I'm planning my engagement party and I was just wondering...do you register for gifts for an engagement party or do people just bring something? I thought you only registered for the bridal shower and now I am all confused, so many people are telling me different things. What did you girls all do? Thanks so much - Jenna
We didn't register any where before our engagement party. We received mostly envelopes, which turned out to be the best gift. We put the money in a bank and started a wedding fund. It really helped us out.
we registered for a few things because my SIL told me that if we didn't, people were just going to buy us what they wanted to get us instead of what we wanted. We would have preferred envelopes to help us save for our down payment (and wedding) costs!

We didn't register...and then I got yelled at a few weeks before...so I did. I am glad I did...cause those who yelled, bought items we wanted...those who didn't got us things we have ignored for a year.
