Hey Girlz.......I 'm new to this. I just got engaged 9/1/06. I am now on the search for an Engagement Party Location. Both of our parents are paying for it (thank the Lord). The problem is, we are going to have 100+ guest (he has a big italian family) & all the restaurant we have looked at are too small. Any suggestions?:

Re: Engagement Party
Bella Verdi's in Deer Park (by Heartland Mini Golf) holds like 150 people. They're a little catering hall owned by the people who own Papa Joe's - they're supposed to have really good food!

Re: Engagement Party
I just had my E-Party on saturday. It was at a Veterans hall in Farmingdale, 635 Main St. I totally understand the big Italian family. Both my FH and myself are Italian and have huge families. We had approx. 130 people at ours. The catering was through the hall's company and the food was delicious, we got a lot of compliments on it. Very reasonable price also!
I'll be writing a mini E-Party review with pics within the next few days so you'll be able to check it out.

If I'm not mistaken for an open bar and a buffet it was approx. $45/pp
Ooopsie, I was talking about Verdi's (westbury) not Bella Verdi's!

Re: Engagement Party
I asked my friend about Bella Verdi's and he said prob on a Saturday night it would be about $60 per person. I'm sure for a Sat or Sun afternoon it would be a lot less.... HTH!

Re: Engagement Party
Good luck with your e-party! Have fun and send us pics!!!
With regard to the Eparty place..... If you're willing to go outside LI, Roma View Catering on Cross Bay Blvd, is great! We're having ours there when my FH's brother comes back from Iraq. Hopefully soon!

Re: Engagement Party
I am joining the e-party venue location search. MOG booked villa marcello in Ozone Park. I am not too fond of the place so I am looking for other possibilities. We also having about 90-100 people, so I need somewhere big.... I saw the pics of Pompei. I like it, but I have never been there. I had my mom's 50th at Verdi's in Westbury, it was nice. I do not remember the price. Good Luck to all of us finding a place...
If anyone has other locations, please let me know.

Re: Engagement Party
Verdi's told me high 30's low 40's. I dont want to pay more than $35pp. I think i'm ganna just do beer wine & soda unless the price is right. Also, theres a place Marinos Remedies in Lindenhurst...Brand new, fits 100 people. i just didnt think they offered enough food for the buffet.. But I'm ganna take FH back there this weekend. $33pp beer wine soda.
