Anyone have any ideas for something inexpensive yet fun and maybe a little different for about 50 people? It doesnt have to be a sit down dinner. FH and I are paying for the wedding with some of my parents help and we didnt really wanna spend $$$ on an engagement party but everyone is pushing us to have one.TIA for any ideas!!

my parents hosted our e-party in our backyard. They rented a tent and had sternos of food. My MIL paid for the booze. It was very nice and relaxing.

we're having one at a park, we reserved a pavillion in the spring.

A friend of mine had a luau at her home. I just had a gathering at my house so our two families could meet. Very low key but lots of fun.
