I got engaged on x-mas eve. I will be married July 11, 2008. Do you think The middle of June is too late for my engagement party or too close to my wedding. My mom wants to do the party in her backyard and we need the weather to be nice. What do you all think?

That's fine. I got engaged on New Years, and am having my eparty in May 07 and our wedding April of 08.
We are not sure if we are having the party at my moms yet. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place for an e-party that holds at least 100 people and is kinda cheap. I don't want to burden my mom financially with the e-party when we are trying to concentrate on the wedding.

I don't think it's to late. We did ours 3 months after we got engaged. We got engaged on April 1 and had it on July 1.

I think I'm doing mine in my parents back yard, but I'm scared of the weather in May
not at all...i waited almost 6 months after i got engaged to have mine!
