Engagement Party

Engagement Party

We have wanted an engagement party but we have been waiting for everyone to get healthy.

We want to invite about 125 people to the party and can't find anything casual big enough. I live in Queens and all of the Knights of Columbus' or VFW Hall's only fit up to 100 with a DJ and the restaurants can get a little crazy, but even they are booked all of April and May.

We don't have room to fit all these people in our backyards so that's out too

Does anyone have any suggestions? Our parents want to throw it for us but I don't want them to spend an arm and a leg either.

Re: Engagement Party

i did a search for 2 months to do an e-party somewhere other than a catering hall and it didnt work out, so i ended up doing it in a catering hall after all.

Either cut your guest list down, and also you need to REALLY hurry...if you want this april or may then you dont have alot of time and yes most places will be booked. Plus you need to send out invitations, and wait to get rsvps back and all that.

Some people do it at firehouses, dont know how all that works, but alot of girls on here have done that.

Im from QUeens too, and cant think of anything too casual, honestly i dont know exactly what youre looking for...What about caffe on the green in bayside

I know I realized I was babbling, sorry.

I don't know, I guess a hall that could fit about 125 people and has a dance floor.

YOu might want to consider catering halls then...What about verdi's, douglaston manor, caffe on the green, dante's, villa roma

What about Villa Russo in Richmond Hill. Prices are pretty reasonable!

Re: Engagement Party

There is a place called Marconi Manor in Islip that is just one big room that they have full packages for weddings. I honestly went to the bridal event there but didn't care for it as a wedding spot but really liked it for a party. I would deff. check it out - they are listed under the vendors.
